Auditions 2024

Hello Apple Box families!
We are pleased to announce our audition dates for our Summer production!
  • Our First audition will be April 27th at the Central High School auditorium from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Our SECOND AUDITION DATE for our 2024 production will be held on MAY 7, from 4-6 PM at WOU, ITC building room 211 (see map). Park on Powell street or the metered spots in Lot A.
These are NOT Call-backs, but still open auditions.
We are working on having a second audition date the week following.
The play will be A Comedy of Errors by Shakespeare as adapted by Maren Anderson and will have some Spang-lish-speaking parts. Copies of the play will be available later, but it is not necessary for students to prepare in any way for the audition.
Performances will be July 10-13. Rehearsals will probably begin the third week of May and be T-Th 4-6 and Sat 9-12 through June 24, after which we will be rehearsing every day except Sunday.
To participate in Apple Box, actors need to be 9 years old or  completing the 4th grade through completing 9th grade. Students who are older can be part of the production team. All students in high school are eligible for two free college credits at Western Oregon University for participating in Apple Box. High school students can also use Apple Box as part of their volunteer requirement.

ABCT Weekly Update - 6/19 - 6/25

From ABCT, Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, and those who fill a fatherly role, in the group! It's been a fun week of full length rehearsals and the show is coming together, scene by scene. We so appreciate all of your hard work while we make these memorable moments for your kiddos.  With that in mind,  we need some extra help tomorrow to move sets to WOU . If you have a truck and a little extra energy, please come help move big stuff over to WOU tomorrow night, Monday 6/20, from  6-8 pm. Another important update we need to share is that, today, we were notified that a cast member has tested positive for Covid. Please take extra care this week. If you have a child who is symptomatic or is showing signs of fatigue or cold symptoms, please keep them home. We encourage masking if your child is comfortable doing so. We are so close to pulling this show off and we would be regretful if parts of the cast were sick during our performances.  And now for the good stuff...rehearsa...
