Today, June 19, we are having rehearsal at the black box in the nursing math building, but we will check out in the normal spot.

Good evening, parents. Now that school is out for summer, we're moving to a 6-day-a-week schedule. All rehearsals will be from 6-8 PM at the outdoor stage. And yes, there WILL be a rehearsal tomorrow evening, June 19th, even though it's Juneteenth and an official holiday.

Actors need to be OFF BOOK by tomorrow as well. Please help your actors learn their lines if they are having trouble. You can always ask one of the student directors for tips and tricks to help memorize.

We have some work parties coming up and we need parents' help:

  • We'll meet Tuesday, June 20, during the day, at the high school for painting the flats. 
  • Another opportunity on Saturday, June 24 will be for finishing as much stuff as possible with costumes, flats, and props. 
  • Flats go up not on June 19, but June 24, before rehearsal.  We will need a lot of help and a couple more pickup trucks to make this go fast and smooth.
  • Email cander@canders.org if you'd like to come help!  Many hands and snacks are appreciated!

Also, grab some posters if you have places to hang them up! Find Maren at the rehearsals and she can get you a few copies.

A new schedule is coming out with the following changes: NO rehearsal on July 4. July 3 rehearsal from 3-5 PM (to avoid competing with music in the park.)

We COULD do a float for the July 4 parade, but someone will need to take the lead. Please email appleboxtheater@gmail.com if anyone is interested in spearheading and organizing a float for the parade. Otherwise, we'll march in the children's parade as we do every year.

ABCT Weekly Update - 6/19 - 6/25

From ABCT, Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, and those who fill a fatherly role, in the group! It's been a fun week of full length rehearsals and the show is coming together, scene by scene. We so appreciate all of your hard work while we make these memorable moments for your kiddos.  With that in mind,  we need some extra help tomorrow to move sets to WOU . If you have a truck and a little extra energy, please come help move big stuff over to WOU tomorrow night, Monday 6/20, from  6-8 pm. Another important update we need to share is that, today, we were notified that a cast member has tested positive for Covid. Please take extra care this week. If you have a child who is symptomatic or is showing signs of fatigue or cold symptoms, please keep them home. We encourage masking if your child is comfortable doing so. We are so close to pulling this show off and we would be regretful if parts of the cast were sick during our performances.  And now for the good stuff...rehearsa...
