ABCT Closing, Strike, Cast Party, and Parades!

Hi!

Here's an update about what's happening for ABCT this weekend. 

First, there will NOT be a performance at the talent show on Saturday or Sunday. The dates were mixed up, and we couldn't adapt at the last minute. We'll do better next year. 

Saturday, July 2
  • Call- 5 PM
  • Show - 6-7 PM
  • Strike begins 7:30-ish
    • Parents/big kids bring gloves and tools to help
    • Pizza arrives after 7:30
  • Cast party/awards 8-ish 
  • Strike continues until about 9 (until done)
Sunday, July 3
  • Older students and parents can help put together the float on Sunday at 4 at the high school. 
  • We will hand out a few costumes for the parade at that time.
Monday, July 4 Parades
  • Children's parade
    • Elementary-aged participants will be walking with the Apple Box banner in the children's parade 
    • Kids (and Adults who have one) should wear their Apple Box t-shirts. 
    • We will meet in front of the WOU Natural Sciences and Mathematics building (corner of Jackson and Monmouth Ave) at 11:15. 
  • Full Parade
    • Middle and High School aged participants are encouraged to join us for the full parade route. 
    • Adults will need to sign the permission slip for your kids in the big parade. Ask Wendy who has the form to sign when you drop off your kiddos.
    • Actors will be showcasing some of our costumes. 
    • Students on the float who are not in costume should wear their Apple Box t-shirts. 
    • We will be handing out candy and information about our program and its partners during the parade. 
    • Participants should meet at the float at 11:15 for judging.
    • Students with the float will find the float somewhere in the float parking.  Wendy will send out a text as soon as she has landmarks

ABCT Weekly Update - 6/19 - 6/25

From ABCT, Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, and those who fill a fatherly role, in the group! It's been a fun week of full length rehearsals and the show is coming together, scene by scene. We so appreciate all of your hard work while we make these memorable moments for your kiddos.  With that in mind,  we need some extra help tomorrow to move sets to WOU . If you have a truck and a little extra energy, please come help move big stuff over to WOU tomorrow night, Monday 6/20, from  6-8 pm. Another important update we need to share is that, today, we were notified that a cast member has tested positive for Covid. Please take extra care this week. If you have a child who is symptomatic or is showing signs of fatigue or cold symptoms, please keep them home. We encourage masking if your child is comfortable doing so. We are so close to pulling this show off and we would be regretful if parts of the cast were sick during our performances.  And now for the good stuff...rehearsa...
